first of all, 99% of my pics are all pics of bugs and errors. more often than not these errors are based on something called "lag"
Lag:
for those of you who are not completely familiar with this term. well, simply put, your computer "talks" with other peoples computers during the game, tellin them where you are, what weapons u have, how fast your going ETC. lets say the information gets to his computer a second after you do it (you click to shoot and a second later he gets the message) your PING (the time it takes for your pc to talk to anothers pc and BACK) would be 2000 (in miliseconds). lets say though when that happens, his computer is too busy and it takes an extra half second to get to your pc, then your LAG will be added however longer it took for the mesasge to come than it should have.
confused? read it again.

if your LAG goes too high, then the game usually responds in one of two ways.
If this "lag" is very low, and its possible that it will fix itself in a short period of time, the game automatically "guesses" where the human player is going based on speed and a few other variables. this is the main reason why we see ships "jump", because bz2 guesses wrong *most* of the time.
if, in extreme cases, this "lag" gets unplayably high, then the lagger and the players will experience different things. the actual "lagger"'s game speeds up. they move, shoot and turn faster. this allows them to catch up to other player's gametime. other players will experience a game freeze, where the game freezes up for alitle while to allow other players to catch up.
If this dosent help to alleviate enough lag, or if the lag is beyond control, the game will AUTOMATICALLY kick the lagger.
Do not be mistaken. there are many bugs related to players lagging out. these bugs range from a very simple freeze and your scout stops following you, to a more complex duplication of pilots or even destruction of units for no "real" reason.

Screenshots
in order from most common to most weird

This is one of the most basic of errors. basically, what's happening is as "you" are paused in time waiting for another person to "catch up", something is hitting you over and over. the "red" for me would be you exploding...although im not 100% sure about it.
when this happens...you can be sure when you re-appear after the lagout (IF you reappear) your ship will be distroyed..and surely your pilot killed too.
oh and its perfectly normal for your "hp" to go into the negatives. ive gone to -9999 hp before, and still tryin to beat that :P

Well, i was playin this map in gaip66, and i was scouting. we killed the rocket towers in record time, and then i found this recycler rolling through the hills :P
i targetted it so you guys can see exactly where it was. my guess is that the game bugged out, and seeing as ther was no lag at all, i am stumped. it seems the game, instead of using its ALREADY DEPLOYED recycler, it somehow spawned a UNDEPLOYED recy and took it for a drive. weird isnt it.

this is an even weirder one. it seems to me that lag caused the odfs to get mixed up, or maybe something with the INF files. i really have no idea. if your confused about what's wrong in this pic, well when look to where the minigun rounds are hitting the ground. normal? i think not. any emails explaining this would be apreciated :)

wondering far from home base...i give up command to give to Grim. usually what happens is the game chats "your team has no commander" or sum crap like that. but this time he took command SO fast, that instead of me loosing command we both ended up being commanders. odd, isnt it? any similar experiences would be apreciated.

a very odd occurance. you might not realise it but f9 USED to be a human player. the proof is all there. 1) i couldnt have put a scout in the f9 slot, and even if i did, when selecting the unit it would be a GREEN dot AND line!! not a blue one with f9 on it!
about 2 minutes into the game, that wingman left. his "presence" remained in the game, but at the same time he physically left. i gave the scout commands but it did not follow them, but at the same time after i blew up the scout it reported him as "left". may i mention this was a no-lag situation.

i was playing CTF in fortress, with VERY minimal lag, and hrmmm whats this? it seems that BOTH MY OPPONENTS are carrying flags! HOLY CRAP! o well...its all ok cuz im KIKING ASS and may i mention it wuz 2 on 1 and im winning ;) stupid newbs :P
any info would be apreciated.

lets say your wingman is in your f10 slot. press f10, then press 9, and it will flash "on your six" and you will hear a pilot's voice confirming this. oddly, the ennemy who by some uncomprehensible reason, was on MY six....weird...this game had VERY little lag mind you.

this pic is alitle cloudy...sorry about the 640x400 :(
I was playing on the Zookyard map, and as you can see by the pic, i was vs. a bunch of ppl on the other team. the process was very simple. i got killed, the game got laggy, and at the same time i respawned in two places. it took me quite awhile to find out what happened, but when i did i couldnt stop laughing. its actually hard to tell its a clone of me, but it about 10 meters off, at a 45 degree angle, doing exactly what im doing: jumping and shooting in the same vector. If you were wondering, im in the eastmost tunnel ENTRANCE. The odd thing is whenever sumbudy killed my clone, i would die too :P

first of all, this pic was taken while playing witht he starfleet MOD,if you were wondering. a few odd things happened in this pic. as you can see, i was chatting with my mate while we were being erradicated, so theres proof it wasent faked. the green text MUST be me, so you can see that i am {CoM}FoxBlade! you can also see that i pressed f9, and told my wingman to follow "{CoM}FoxBlade pilot". odd isnt it? theres more. if you look carefully at the mini-map, you can see all the lines are CURVED! yes! i cannot explain this but everytime i got killed as a pilot the minimap gave me the impression i was hit by a PPC (for those of who whove played mechwarrior), and everything was short-circuting. the lines were going from straight to curved. hrmm. lastly: in the starfleet mod, when you die you loose your rail gun and get the assault rifle. as you can see im shooting assault rifle bullets and my clone is firing rail shots. weird isnt it?
oh and on the mini-radar you can see that im actually TARGETTING myself! yea course it isnt the "t button" sort of targetting more like the "auto scout" targetting.
any info would be greatly apreciated.

this isnt actually a problem with the GAMEPLAY inside of game, but its a bug nonetheless. look at the highlighted game. the map is {420}chill.bzn. now look up to Game Stats. now it shows map name G66:chill at night.
odd.

later: somebody told me that the maps are made on purpose this way, but somehow i dont believe that. could somebody confirm that?

for those of you that worry about every bug, this is a VERY common error. it seems mostly graphical, and the only real problem here is its hard to tell exactly when the building is going to be finished. not that it maters anyway :P

this is one of the only pics i have showing more than one bug at a time. in fact, it shows three different specific bugs that each SHOULD get their own screenshot, but luckily i got them all in one. here goes:
Firstly, almost as one higher up, there is an ennemy i have targetted, as you can see by the "need help" pic on top of it :P lol i didnt realise that until later. actually i took this shot shen i saw that my F9 buddy wasnt there anymore. look all you can see if F10. and my cursor is *conveniently* placed over terminator(f9)s ship proving what im saying. the third bug is the "terminator pilot". well, it seems im not the only person getting duplicated around here :P

Be expecting many more screenshots since BZ2 has SO many bugs! i just hope 1.3 dosent screw my bug exploitation :P
